Guard 01
Daily loss cap
A fixed loss for the day closes the algorithm down until the next session. One bad day cannot become a bad week.

Hard equity floor
If account equity touches the floor, every position is closed at market. Not a warning, not a wider stop — flat.
Guard 03
Exposure cap
Total open size is capped for the account. There is no deep recovery ladder waiting to double into a trend.
Guard 04
News blackout
High-impact USD releases are sat out rather than traded through. Gold's worst spreads and worst fills happen in those minutes.
